As a fan of thrill and horror movie genre, but really intentionally closing eyes once in a while during movie time (haha), I want to watch this in the Cinema. A fresh style of horror experience.
The “GoCam-horror” and “meta found footage” film Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital is set to premiere at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival this December 25, promising audiences an adrenaline-pumping experience filled with jump scares and nerve-wracking thrills.
This 90-minute movie was filmed using multiple GoPro cameras attached to the actors and content creators as they explored Taiwan’s infamous Xinglin Hospital in the West Central District of Tainan City. Shot primarily in the eerie darkness of the hospital’s abandoned halls, the film delivers high-intensity suspense.
As a trailblazer in the “experience-horror” genre, this unique addition to the MMFF lineup offers a fresh alternative to the festival’s usual fare and is poised to ignite moviegoers’ deepest fears.
The film was produced by the “Master of Horror” Erik Matti and veteran filmmaker Ronald “Dondon” Monteverde of Reality MM Studios (the producing duo behind 2016’s box office hit “Seklusyon” and 2019’s Kuwaresma) in partnership with actor Enrique Gil who stars in the film as the leader of the seven.
“Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital” first captured the attention of Hollywood entertainment publication "Variety " last October 28, 2024. It is the only MMFF entry to be recognized for its international appeal as well as the track record of Reality MM Studios in producing high-quality films.
What are you waiting for? Let's go!!
